Summer Housing '16

Hopper Housing: May 16th  - August 14th

With the most inexpensive housing for anyone coming over to Chicago this Summer, Hop The Pond is excited to offer it on a first come first serve basis.  We only have a limited amount of beds available for the summer and the best way to ensure that you receive one of them is to submit your downpayment now.

What is Hopper Housing?

Hopper housing is dorm style living for your summer here in Chicago.  Each of the beds in the apartments are rented out indiviudally to other Hoppers for the summer.  The apartments are large 2 bedroom units that fit 3 bunk beds in each bedroom.  A total of 12 beds will be assigned to each of the apartments and all apartments are Co-ed (Both male and female Hoppers share the same apartment).  All the apartments include a full kitchen, 2 baths and a large family (sitting) room in their units along with the all imporant air conditioning and WiFi.

In order to give you and your friends the best chance of living together you will need to book immediately and then complete your profile and include who you would like to live with.  From there we will assign Hoppers to fill all the beds (almost like a hostel) which will help you meet new and exciting people.

Where is the building and what are the amenties?

Fornelli Hall is located at 55 East Washington Street and houses students from over 15 different colleges in the city.  It has everything you can ask for in a building including 24 hour security, work out facilities, resturant and a bank on the first floor.   Public transporation is a breeze as well.  Buses stop right in front of the building every 10 minutes and the "EL" stop is one block away.  It is the most centrally located student housing building in Chicago!

Why choose Hopper Housing over the competitors?

Simply put, we are the lowest priced out there.  Search and compare but at under $155.00 per week per bed you simply can't beat that.  The cost for the summer is all inclusive so you don't have to worry about utility bills.  On top of that Hop The Pond has helped hundreds of students like youself over the past 3 years and we are the only company of its kind.

What is the total cost?

The total cost per person for the summer is $1,849.99 + a non refundable move in fee of $150.00. It is made in two payments.  The first being the deposit to reserve your spot and the second to make full payment.

Can I live with my friends?

Yes!  But the only way to make sure of that is you all sign up at the same time.  Once you sign up you will need to send an email to say who you would prefer to live with.  Only after receiving confirmation from are you ensure to live with your friends.

When can I move in and when do I have to move out?

Once you've purchased the bed for the summer you can move in anytime from May 16th on.  You will need to be completely moved on the 14th of August.  There are no beds or spots available for any longer than that.
