Hop the Pond ("HTP") is a for-profit job placement service for those seeking temporary employment in the United States under the JI Visa program ("Clients"). By purchasing a package or any counterpart thereof, Client accepts and acknowledges the obligations, expectations, and limitaticns contained herein.

By purchasing a package or any counterpart thereof from HTP, Client represents and warrants that they meet the expectations for obtaining a Visa for temporary work in the United States, including but not limited to being a full-time college or university student between the ages of 18 and 28 (unless Client is able to meet exceptions to this requirement), Client is proficient in both written and spoken Enghsh, and Client is willing and able to work for a period of at least three (3) months in the United States.

Client acknowledges that if Client is matched with an employment opportunity here in the United States, Client maintains responsibility for any costs, expenses, and responsibilities to accommodate Client's stay in the United States, including, but not limited to, travel to, from, and within the United States during Client's stay, housing/accommodations, any health or accident insurance, and the application processing fee for Client's Visa.

Client acknowledges that the HTP package containing the employment match opportunity is limited to a set number of employment opportunities available on a first-come, first-serve basis. HTP agrees to make its best effort to update information on its website as soon as possible if such opportunities are no longer available, but Client acknowledges that while a limited number of employment opportunities are guaranteed to applicants on the HTP website, such employment opportunities may not be available to Client at the time of Client's purchase.

Client accepts full responsibility for the continuation of Client's employment with his or her employer upon arrival in the United States. HTP cannot and does not guarantee the success of Client's employee relationship, nor does HTP maintain any responsibility or liability for Client's employment. All employment-related issues, including but not limited to, workplace safety, tax withholdings, and work environment are the responsibility of Client's ultimate employer. Furthermore, Client acknowledges and accepts that completion of all steps required by the United States States Department or any other governmental body shall be the sole responsibility of Client, including, but not limited to obtaining a Social Security Number, registration with SEVIS, completion of any and all required forms, and registration with any other body entitled to and requiring notification of Client's presence in the United States and employment therein.

Client agrees to respect all laws, regulations, and ordinances and governmental orders in existence in the location and during the duration of Client's stay in the United States. Client shall indemnify and hold harmless HTP, its officers, agents, employees, and affiliates (hereinafter the "Indemnified Parties") from any and all liability arising from Client's failure to obey any laws, regulations, ordinances or governmental orders of the United States or any governmental jurisdiction therein. Client shall further indemnify and hold harmless the Indemnified Parties from any loss, damages, liability, injury or responsibility for any issues arising from Client's employment. Client shall further indemnify and hold harmless the Indemnified Parties from any loss, damages, liability, injury or responsibility for any issues arising during Client's stay in the United States.

I hereby acknowledge that I have reviewed, understand, and agree to all the terms contained in this job offer Agreement. I understand that Hop the Pond, LLC reserves the right to determine that this job is unacceptable, and in such a case I will not be allowed to pursue employment with the business named herein.

I agree to work for four (4) months or less if specified herein, and I agree to work until the last date stated herein. I understand that neither Hop the Pond, LLC nor the business that employs you can guarantee the terms of this offer for employment, and that my duties are subject to change according to the needs of the employer or other unforeseen circumstances. I understand that the average number of hours per week as stated herein is an estimate and is subject to change according to the needs of the employer.

I agree to hold my employer and Hop the Pond, LLC harmless for any financial loss sustained by me as a result of a change in the terms of this employment offer, and that I accept and assume financial loss as a foreseeable risk associated with my acceptance of the offer for employment contained herein. I understand that either I or my employer may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without prior notice according to applicable employment laws.

I agree to notify Hop the Pond, LLC if I am terminated from the employment relationship contemplated herein. I further understand that my failure to notify Hop the Pond, LLC of any changes in employment within one week from the occurrence thereof may result in my termination from Hop the Pond, LLC's programs and activities. I understand that I must inform Hop the Pond, LLC of my intention to leave this employer, and I agree that I will not accept subsequent employment or begin any work at a new job prior to verification and consent by Hop the Pond, LLC.

I understand that I am responsible for securing housing accommodations on my own prior to my arrival in 'the U.S. for employment. I have read, understand, and agree that paycheck deductions may be withheld from my pay, and I further understand that such deductions are subject to change according to the laws of the U.S. and the State of Illinois, as well as any pertinent local laws.

I understand that my first paycheck may not be received by me for a period of two weeks subsequent to the start of my employment, and I affirm that I have adequate funds to support myself until that time.
